EGS = Enhanced Geothermal Systems
In EGS, we start with hot (often very hot) rocks but little->no permeability.
Reservoir is typically stimulated to create/activate fracture network.
Long history but few success stories – big problem is creating/controlling sufficient permeability.
Advantage: if drilling sufficiently cheap, hot rocks in many places.
